Environmental Monitoring Technician Position

As part of the Infrastructure Environmental Management (IEM) team, you will be involved in important environmental monitoring tasks from August 2026 to February 2027. The position entails daily engagement with project contractors to enforce compliance with environmental standards during construction. Flexible shifts of 14 or 21 days will provide the structure for this critical work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct monitoring and observation from a barge
• Collect environmental data, including water quality
• Collaborate with project teams to mitigate environmental risks
• Implement relevant environmental protection measures
• Comply with applicable environmental legislation
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in environmental monitoring roles
• Technical diploma or relevant undergraduate degree
• Qualified Environmental Professional certification
• Valid Canadian driver's license required
• Strong problem-solving abilities for compliance
