Environmental Health Technician in Metro

This role requires a post-secondary background in Environmental Science or related field, alongside field experience in data collection and community project leadership. You will assist Environmental Health Officers by applying your knowledge of water safety, sanitation, and various environmental health practices to effectively support local initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide environmental health technical services under supervision
• Assist in water quality monitoring and sample collection
• Manage data entry and scientific data oversight
• Collaborate with First Nations communities on health projects
• Ensure adherence to environmental health practices
Requirements:
• One year of post-secondary education in Environmental Science or related field
• One year of relevant experience in scientific data management
• Basic knowledge of First Nations traditions and health practices
• Familiarity with environmental health safety programs
• Strong data collection and analysis capabilities
