Lead the environmental initiatives as a Senior Environmental Leader at West Fraser in BC. This pivotal role focuses on compliance and sustainability within the industrial sector. As a key member of the environmental team, you will provide expert guidance and support across multiple units, ensuring adherence to Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and strengthening sustainability targets. Your experience will be fundamental in driving environmental compliance and performance improvements across 10 diverse divisions in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain environmental programs and compliance standards
- Offer strategic support and guidance to Mill site resources
- Deliver environmental support for forestry operations in BC
- Identify and advise on program enhancements and performance gaps
- Represent West Fraser in external stakeholder discussions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related area
- Over 10 years in managing environmental programs
- Familiar with Environmental Management Systems
- Robust facilitation and team-building skills
- Capable of strategic thinking and managing multiple priorities
