As a qualified Aquatic Biologist at Canacre, you will lead aquatic field surveys and contribute to environmental monitoring and compliance throughout project development. You will prepare reports, assess fish habitats, and implement mitigation strategies to protect aquatic resources. Your expertise will support diverse environmental scopes in the Energy Sector, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct aquatic field surveys and assessments
• Lead water quality monitoring during construction
• Implement best practices for aquatic resource protection
• Serve as an Environmental Monitor during energy projects
• Prepare assessment reports for regulatory compliance
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Biology or Environmental Science
• 3-5 years as a Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist
• Strong knowledge of aquatic regulations and best practices
• Experience with ESRI products is an asset
• Valid Electrofishing Certification preferred
