Join GHD's Western Canada team as an Intermediate Ecologist, focusing on ecological data collection and analysis in a hybrid work model. Contribute to biological surveys and environmental report generation while supporting permitting activities.
This role seeks an Intermediate Ecologist with 5–7 years of relevant experience to provide expertise in wildlife, botany, and ecological classifications. You will lead field surveys, conduct wetland evaluations, and participate in report writing for environmental assessments. Your efforts will directly impact project outcomes and client satisfaction within environmental consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ecological field surveys and habitat assessments
• Prepare and lead wildlife and botanical evaluations
• Compile and analyze biological data from various sources
• Write and provide input for environmental reports and plans
• Mentor junior team members and facilitate collaboration
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in science or environmental studies
• 5–7 years of related work experience, preferably in consulting
• Certification in ecological land classification or similar
• Experience with project management skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
