This position requires an individual with a strong background in ecological science and 5–7 years of experience, particularly in environmental consulting.
Your role will involve conducting field surveys, wetland evaluations, and developing proposals under the framework of provincial and federal regulations. You will work collaboratively to ensure compliance and scientific accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead targeted ecological surveys for Species at Risk
• Conduct detailed wetland boundary evaluations
• Analyze ecological data for reporting purposes
• Assist in creating scopes and field workplans
• Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments and related documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in ecology or biology
• Familiarity with ecological certifications/training in BC or Alberta
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
