GHD is looking for an Intermediate Ecologist in Western Canada to join a dynamic team. This hybrid role involves data collection, research, and environmental reporting, enhancing ecological project outcomes.

Seeking a candidate with 5–7 years of experience in ecology, this role necessitates technical expertise in wildlife botany and ecological land assessments. You will coordinate fieldwork, prepare proposals, and support permitting under relevant regulations. Your involvement will ensure high scientific integrity and biodiversity conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ecological land classification and wetland delineation

• Lead assessments for compliance with environmental regulations

• Compile and interpret data for client projects

• Support the preparation of environmental management plans

• Provide mentorship to junior staff members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or environmental studies

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience

• Professional certification in wetland ecology is advantageous

• Field experience with biological surveys

• A valid driver’s license and first aid certification
