Position: Project Geologist for Exploration in Newfoundland
Join Equinox Gold as a Project Geologist, Exploration at the Valentine Gold Mine in Newfoundland. Oversee exploration programs, ensure safety, and drive geological understanding in this strategic role.

As a Project Geologist, you will report to the Senior Exploration Geologist and be key in the transition of the mine from construction to operations. Your responsibilities include program planning, contractor oversight, and data management. Emphasizing a safe work environment, you'll lead fieldwork while collaborating closely with your team on various exploration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute short-term exploration programs

• Supervise staff and on-site contractors

• Conduct incident investigations and promote safety

• Manage and interpret geological data

• Support technical studies and report developments

Requirements:

• BSc in Geology or related field

• 5+ years of mining and/or exploration experience

• Registered or eligible as a P.Geo.

• Proficient in specialized software for exploration

• Valid driver’s license and ability for heavy lifting
