Drive impactful fish habitat initiatives with Musqueam as an Aquatic Habitat Restoration Specialist. This position focuses on leading projects and fostering community relations within an engaging environment.
As the Coordinator reporting to the Fisheries Manager, you'll spearhead the development and management of restoration strategies within Musqueam’s Territory. This role requires collaboration across various sectors to advance the goals of the Fish Habitat Restoration Programs, ensuring environmentally sustainable practices that reflect Musqueam values. Your ability to foster connections with diverse stakeholders will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate Musqueam’s Aquatic Habitat Restoration Plan (AHRP)
• Advise on baseline study methodologies and field plans
• Collaborate with field teams and consultants for project success
• Conduct research to inform restoration strategies
• Manage budgets and funding processes
Requirements:
• Degree in biology or 8 years' relevant experience
• Knowledge of invasive plant management
• Strong coordination and leadership skills
• Ability to engage with various stakeholders
• Understanding of Musqueam cultural heritage
Contribute to significant ecological projects and uphold Musqueam's heritage while enhancing aquatic habitats.
