Geological Technician - Temporary

Contract:

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Geological Technician (Temporary) to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

Responsibilities:

Complete geotechnical logging of oriented diamond drill core;

Maintain core logging data in database;

Sample and cut diamond drill core (fit-tested respirator required);

Track and catalogue drill core and samples;

Manage core sample shipments;

Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment, and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures;

Assist geologists as required.

Required

Qualifications & Skills:

Fundamental geologic knowledge considered an asset;

Post-Secondary Education in geosciences considered an asset;

Core logging and cutting experience considered an asset;

Experience working with oriented core considered an asset;

Valid driver's license;

Able to lift core boxes weighing up to 60 pounds;

Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;

Training provided.

Additional Information:

Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.

Eligible for monthly bonus.
