Join SLR Consulting as an Aquatic Ecologist and drive sustainability initiatives in British Columbia. This role demands expertise in surface water quality and mentorship of junior professionals.
As part of the Ecology and Biodiversity practice, you will manage and coordinate projects tailored to mining and infrastructure development. Your strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems and regulatory processes will support compliance and engagement with relevant stakeholders. You'll also lead aquatic field programs and contribute to impactful environmental assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee full project management cycle
• Lead aquatic field sampling and studies
• Synthesize data into technical reports
• Navigate regulatory frameworks effectively
• Mentor and guide junior team members
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field;
Master’s preferred
• 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with benthic studies and field protocols
• Proficiency in ecological data analysis
