Wesbell is accepting resumes for Foundation Foremen to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing and performing all tasks required to fully construct concrete foundations and create access roads and perimeter fencing for cellular tower sites.
Specific Duties &
Responsibilities Include:
Layout: use blueprints and surveys to determine where to place the foundationExcavation; operating excavators, packers, and bulldozersTie rebarPour concreteCompact backfillConcrete finishingRock drilling, lay out holes, install rebar and groutPretension rock bolts and groutInstall fencing, both permanent and temporaryInstall entry gatesCreate access roads; remove topsoil and add gravelEnsure proper inspections for personal safety for self and crewAny other duties that may be assignedEducation (Theoretical Training):
High school preferred2 years of experience preferredFirst Aid / CPRLadder Safety TrainingWHMISElectrical Awareness TrainingTransportation of Dangerous Goods TrainingProper Lifting Techniques TrainingOccupational Health and Safety for Supervisors and Managers
Job Requirements &
Experience:
Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawingsExperience with telecom tower foundations is an assetBasic knowledge of the operation and safety requirements of power toolsExperience in operating excavators, packers, and bulldozers an assetPractical ability and common senseMay be required to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customerManual dexterity is required and mechanical aptitude an assetHave a basic understanding of electricity and electrical safetyValid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract preferredMust be a team player and have a positive and professional attitude towards work and othersMust possess effective supervisory skills and competently direct co-workersFluent in English written and oral
