Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Join Air Canada as a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic in Vancouver, British Columbia, focusing on mechanical equipment maintenance and inspections. Bring your expertise in repairs, installations, and safety compliance to our growing team.

In this permanent, unionized role, you will perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections to meet building codes, and ensure safety across various tasks. With at least three years of field experience, you will independently or collaboratively tackle mechanical challenges. Your skills in welding and knowledge of building systems will be critical in maintaining our operations at a high standard of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems

• Install, dismantle, and repair machinery

• Inspect buildings for code compliance

• Follow safety standards while completing tasks

• Work in shifts, including weekends and on-call duty

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s licence with a clean abstract

• Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal

• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and email

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Meet Transport Canada security requirements
