The Role

Are you someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving on the go, and variety in your daily routine? As a Field Service Technician, you'll travel to diverse client sites—from medical facilities and labs to metal recycling plants and industrial assembly lines—inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating scales and related systems. No two days are the same!

This is a full‑time, hands‑on position with opportunities for overtime, on‑the‑job training, and growth into an expert in weighing technology. We welcome motivated candidates with little to no prior experience—we'll train you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on‑site inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations of various types of scales: electrical & mechanical scales, lab balances, check‑weighers, truck scales, silo scales, printers, load cells, and automated assembly line systems.
  • Diagnose issues using hand tools, basic voltmeters, and schematics.
  • Provide professional customer service, including clear, prompt communication and documentation (written and verbal).
  • Work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, vaults).
  • Maintain accurate service reports and inventory in company vehicles.
What We’re Looking For (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to lift and carry 75–100 lbs regularly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Excel for reporting).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and customer relations focus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes, and occasional overtime.
  • Physical capability to work in diverse conditions (heights, vaults, indoor/outdoor).
Qualifications
  • Experience in repair/maintenance or electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals/schematics.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical diagnostics.
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive on‑the‑job training—no experience required.
  • Competitive pay (commensurate with experience) with overtime potential.
  • Company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided.
  • Opportunities for professional growth in a specialized technical field.
  • A supportive team environment with varied, engaging work.
  • Medical, dental, vision benefits, Kaiser Permanente.
  • 401k Plan & matching contribution.
Pre‑Employment Requirements

Drug screening, DMV record check, and background check.

If you’re reliable, eager to learn, and ready for a rewarding career in a technical trade, we’d love to hear from you!
