HVAC Maintenance Technician

Join the City of Vancouver as an HVAC Maintenance Technician I, supporting facility operations for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing essential equipment while highlighting commitment to sustainability.

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems in various city facilities. This auxiliary position may require evening and weekend shifts as necessary. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a Fourth Class Power Engineer Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor HVAC components and gauges

• Maintain and repair filters, pumps, and belts

• Conduct operational tests for optimal performance

• Adjust settings on plant equipment systems

• Refits valves and performs related duties

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion with technical coursework

• Fourth Class Power Engineer Certificate required

• Experience maintaining HVAC systems

• Valid BC Driver's License with a clean record

• Knowledge of Worksafe BC regulations
