IRATA Level 3 Lead Rope Access Technicians

All West Facility Services Ltd. is seeking two highly skilled and safety-conscious IRATA Level 3 professionals to join our Vancouver-based team. As a Level 3 Lead, you will be the cornerstone of our high‑access operations, ensuring technical excellence and rigorous safety standards across various work sites.

We are one of the largest facilities maintenance companies in Vancouver and British Columbia. We are experts in the cleaning and maintenance of commercial, residential and industrial buildings of all sizes. Some of our most popular services are exterior building cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing and winter management.

Compensation & Terms
  • Salary: $36.00 – $40.32 hourly (Negotiable based on experience).
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Contract: 3‑year term.
  • Location: Based out of Vancouver (8380 Ontario St.), with frequent travel to various site locations.
Core Requirement: IRATA Level 3

The successful candidate must hold a valid Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Level 3 Certification. You will be responsible for:

  • Applicants must not be afraid of heights and able to work on ladders and suspended stages Enthusiasm and decent work attitude - Valid BC driver’s license is an asset.
  • Must be able to work while suspended in harness for extended periods of time Be capable of functioning in climatic extremes
  • Criminal record check will be done
  • Supervising rope access work sites and ensuring full compliance with IRATA International codes of practice.
  • Overseeing safety protocols in challenging environments.
  • Leading a team of technicians in high‑pressure, high‑elevation settings.
Professional Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated rope access experience.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Communication: Fluent English (Excellent oral communication is essential for site safety coordination).
Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role performed in a variety of outdoor settings. You must be comfortable working in:

  • Extreme

    Conditions:

    Heights, dangerous/confined spaces, wet/damp, dusty, hot, and noisy environments.
  • Physical Tasks: Constant bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Pace: A fast‑paced environment requiring sharp attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.
