HVAC Technician
The HVAC Technician is responsible for reading, interpreting, and executing drawings, schematics, and blueprints for the installation, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts. This role involves reviewing blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures, as well as assembling and installing systems and components.
Responsibilities- Review blueprints and building codes to determine work details and procedures.
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning systems and their components.
- Assist with the design of multi-head VRF systems.
- Create detailed material lists from drawings and site layouts.
- Start and commission systems, test lines for leaks, and record readings.
- Direct apprentices on the installation of piping systems.
- Maintain records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring, or other parts.
- Comply with industry standards, safety manuals, and safety rules.
- 3+ years of HVAC service experience in commercial, institutional, or high-rise settings.
- Journeyperson Red Seal Ticket.
- Service HVAC experience.
- Ability to commute to site.
- Clean driving record.
- Good communication skills.
