Heavy Duty Mechanic

Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic with FONTaine Site Services
Join FONTaine Site Services as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Greater Vancouver. You will maintain construction equipment on-site, ensuring operational efficiency and safety each day.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and light repairs primarily on Caterpillar equipment. Working independently from a service truck, you will handle fluid and filter replacements while collaborating with a senior mechanic for complex tasks.

Your role will take place from Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fluid and filter replacements on equipment

• Perform light mechanical repairs on loaders and excavators

• Work independently from a Ford service truck

• Assist senior mechanic with complex repairs

• Ensure safety on active construction sites

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license required

• Minimum 1 year mechanical experience

• Knowledge of excavator/loader operation

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Proactive approach to problem solving
