Overview
As a Technician I - Security with Bosch Building Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. You’ll work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV setups, and prewiring projects.
Responsibilities- Assist in system design and layout
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components
- Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including pre-wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems
- Provide customer training and respond to technical inquiries
- Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation
- You may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
- Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting
- Experience with security systems, CCTV, and alarms
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Able to work independently
- Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
- Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems, CCTV, and prewiring is desirable but not required
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
- Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
- Ability to complete projects on time and on budget
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves

- Regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Use of power tools required; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- May be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

- Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may travel to and from job site locations
- May work in a typical office environment and be exposed to construction equipment
- Noise level usually moderate; confined space entry may be required; high work may be required
$20.5 ph - $29.69 ph D.O.E
