Overview

Unit 11 Inc - a temporary production staffing company that serves primarily the tv/film, entertainment, fashion, and marketing industries. We are seeking motivated and hardworking team players for our onsite crew. The position title is “Stagehand.” Stagehands are our onsite crew for installing and dismantling projects based on given deadlines. Stagehands are booked with at least a 24 hour notice of where and when to be, as well as what tools and gear they must have with them.

Job sites may vary from working indoors to outdoors, including retail display, event staging, or installing temporary walls. Stagehands are on-call based on interest and availability, and robust performers will be offered plenty of work based on feedback from onsite supervisors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with installing and dismantling sets and displays according to project timelines.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and work with hands to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment at project sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space on site.
  • Travel to job sites as required (travel is an asset).
Applicant Attributes and Requirements
  • Strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and ability to work on a team.
  • Safety consciousness and adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Customer-service skills and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use standard/basic tools such as a hammer, drill, and wrench.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow supervisor instructions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Own or have all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required on site, including steel-toe boots, hard hat, and vest.
  • Ability to assist with loading/unloading of trucks for each project.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
