Position: Escalator Technician BCRTC Role
Join British Columbia Rapid Transit Company Ltd. as an Escalator Technician and help keep Vancouver moving. Focus on repairing and maintaining escalators and elevators within the Sky Train system.

In this role as an Elevator/Escalator Tradesperson, your expertise ensures compliance with all safety codes, specifically C.S.A. B44 standards. You will perform necessary inspections, manage repairs, and attend to emergencies, all while documenting your work meticulously. Compatibility with BCRTC's commitment to safety is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of escalators and elevators

• Execute maintenance and repair with precision

• Complete detailed work documentation

• Act promptly in emergencies and service interruptions

• Participate in safety and technical training programs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification

• Elevator/Escalator Mechanics certificate required

• Proven experience in elevator/escalator repair

• Possess a valid class 5 BC driver’s licence

• Commitment to health and safety regulations
