Carpenter Foreman (Commercial Projects)
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead a small crew on a variety of commercial special projects. This role combines hands‑on carpentry work with team leadership, requiring strong technical skills, clear communication and a commitment to safety and quality.
You will play a key role in delivering projects involving formwork, cladding, building envelope systems and civil construction while representing the company professionally on‑site.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead and supervise a crew of 3+ carpenters, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and on schedule
- Plan and coordinate daily activities: concrete formwork, cladding and building envelope work, civil construction tasks
- Provide clear direction, coaching and ongoing support to maintain productivity and quality
- Perform hands‑on carpentry including commercial and industrial work
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to execute layouts and tasks accurately
- Monitor site progress, identify challenges early and adjust plans to keep projects on track
- Collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent and provide regular updates on crew performance and site conditions
- Communicate professionally with clients on‑site, representing the company with confidence
- Utilize construction technology such as Procore to track progress and document work
- Maintain and enforce a strong safety culture in a fast‑paced environment
- Support project timelines with flexibility for overtime when needed
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of carpentry experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Proven experience with formwork and general carpentry
- Experience leading or directing a crew of 3+ workers
- Strong ability to use hand and power tools (skill saws, nail guns, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Capable of working independently while leading others effectively
- Own tool belt and essential carpentry tools
- Solid understanding of job site safety practices
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and site leadership
- Comfortable learning and using construction software such as Procore
- Experience in commercial building envelope systems
- Experience on multi‑level commercial projects
- Previous experience reporting directly to a Site Superintendent
- Access to a vehicle for travel between future job sites

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.00 – $45.00 per hour.
