Join Fairmont Waterfront as a full-time Shift Engineer, overseeing maintenance and guest service excellence. This role emphasizes HVAC, plumbing, and safety with a focus on sustainable operations.

This parental leave contract position lasts from August 2026 to February 2027. You will engage in service and repair tasks for the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas while ensuring a safe working environment. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize various maintenance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer professional and friendly service consistently

• Conduct health & safety inspections and to ensure safe work areas

• Perform repairs in guest rooms and public spaces

• Assist with minor plumbing and HVAC servicing

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on all facilities

Requirements:

• Maintenance experience in commercial buildings preferred

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent guest service with attention to detail

• Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
