Be a vital part of Viking’s team in Dartmouth as an Experienced Fire Alarm Technician. Engage in system maintenance, inspections, and emergency responses in a 40-hour workweek.
Reporting to the Supervisor Inspection & Service, this role requires you to maintain the reliability of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities encompass troubleshooting existing alarms, upgrading systems based on inspections, and drafting detailed reports.
Your role also includes handling emergency calls during evenings and weekends, ensuring timely support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and service fire alarm systems effectively
• Execute upgrades, repairs, and improvements post-inspection
• Compile inspection and deficiency reports in a timely manner
• Address emergency service requests as they arise
Requirements:
• Diploma in Fire Protection Technology or relevant training
• At least 3 years of practical fire alarm service experience
• Strong independent working ability
• Familiarity with CAN/ULC standards S536
• Valid driver’s license is essential
