Position: West Heavy-Duty Mechanic Role
Equip West Vancouver's municipal fleet as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, providing essential repairs and inspections to enhance community safety and operations. This contract term position combines full-time mechanical work with a commitment to public service.

As part of the Engineering & Transportation Department, you'll troubleshoot and maintain a variety of municipal vehicles and equipment.

Your role will include conducting safety inspections, repairing hydraulic systems, and completing necessary reports to document all maintenance tasks. Your contributions will be key to community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on Municipal equipment

• Conduct thorough safety inspections regularly

• Troubleshoot and fix hydraulic systems efficiently

• Engage in gas and electrical welding tasks

• Document maintenance activities accurately

Requirements:

• Grade 12 graduation plus technical courses

• Valid BC Class 3 Driver's Licence, Air Brake endorsement

• Red Seal or equivalent in mechanical trades

• Experience with related small equipment repairs an asset

• Candidates in 4th year apprenticeship may be eligible
