Heavy Duty Mechanic at Pursuit

Join Pursuit as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and ensure our fleet remains in top condition. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining buses to prevent roadside failures.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman or Maintenance Manager, this position is key in supporting the operation of Brewster Equipment. The Heavy Duty Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, conducts semi-annual inspections, and trains apprentice mechanics. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on buses

• Diagnose and repair equipment issues efficiently

• Overhaul and replace bus components as scheduled

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

• Support team members and train apprentices

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification

• At least one year of bus experience required

• Expertise in troubleshooting various engines

• Familiarity with MCI & Prevost coaches

• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions
