Trades 3 Mechanic at UBC

As part of the UBC Facilities team, this full-time position requires trade certification and at least five years of experience. The Trades 3 Mechanic will conduct skilled repairs on campus vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient service throughout the university's fleet. Key Responsibilities:

• Overhaul engines and transmissions on various vehicles

• Perform electrical and electronic diagnoses

• Maintain all vehicles up to recognized standards

• Inspect vehicles per Provincial Vehicle Inspection requirements

• Train and monitor apprentices in the workshop

Requirements:

• Journeyperson certification as Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanic

• Minimum five years of relevant mechanical experience

• Valid BC Driver’s license with a clean record

• Strong understanding of electrical systems
