About the Job:

Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation, the Miner 3 is an integral part of the mining operation at the Silvertip Operation. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, and punctuality are essential requirements for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

The Miner 3 is responsible for the safe and productive operation of eight (8) yard scoops, 30 and 45-ton haul trucks;
Scissor lifts and Boom trucks.

Able to assist in the installation of mine services, as well as assist in loading rounds;

Ensure all policies and procedures in relation to safety and production are followed;

Solid work ethics, regular attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude, are essential requirements for this position.

Required

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum two (2) years underground mining experience.;

Minimum one (1) year operating heavy equipment underground; (scoop/truck);

Ability to operate various underground utility vehicles;

B.C. underground blasting ticket considered an asset;

First aid ticket an asset;

Ability to operate a trans mixer an asset.

Ability to shoot shotcrete an asset.

Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;

Mining, Oil and Gas or Heavy Industrial experience is preferred;

Strong problem-solving, teamwork and ability to develop and foster strong working relationships;

Strong sense of integrity, ethics and desire to positively impact the environment;

Strong communication skills, written and verbal;

Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce.

Additional Information:

Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp. Eligible for monthly bonus.

Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
