Position: Carpenter Role at Black & McDonald
Join Black & McDonald’s Facilities Management team as a Carpenter at the Teck Acute Care Centre in Vancouver. This role emphasizes technical skills and customer service in constructing, installing, and repairing structures.

The Carpenter will perform a variety of duties including light drywall work, door installations, and trim assembly. The position requires reading blueprints and executing repair work while adhering to safety regulations. Candidates must have a strong commitment to quality and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches for projects

• Construct and install structures, finishing, and repairs

• Fit and install doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware

• Maintain and renovate wooden structures as needed

• Assist with other maintenance trades and duties

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Carpenter role

• Red Seal certification or equivalent preferred

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Able to work at heights using ladders and scaffolds

• Pass an RCMP Criminal Record Check
