Position: Mechanic Position with West Team
Join the dedicated team at West Vancouver as a Mechanic in the Engineering & Transportation Department. This full-time role focuses on automotive and heavy-duty mechanical tasks for municipal equipment.

As a key member of the team, you will handle troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs in a dynamic work environment. Your tasks will include carrying out safety inspections, managing hydraulic repairs, and performing welding tasks. Leadership of apprentices or junior staff may be part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance and repair services for Municipal vehicles

• Perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance

• Inspect and repair hydraulic systems on machinery

• Conduct welding tasks relevant to shop mechanics

• Keep accurate maintenance records and reports

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education with relevant technical coursework

• Valid BC Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement

• Red Seal Certification in Automotive or Heavy Duty Repair

• Strong general experience in mechanical and electrical work

• Able to supply police background check and credentials
