Drive your career forward with Sandvik Mining as a Field Service Heavy Duty Mechanic in British Columbia. This position involves maintaining and troubleshooting surface drill equipment on a flexible fly-in-fly-out schedule.
We are seeking a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic who can bring technical expertise to our field service team. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and repairing various components of mining equipment while following industry safety standards. Additionally, you will commission new equipment and guide training sessions for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections of mining equipment
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed
• Test machinery to ensure operational excellence
• Commission new equipment installations
• Accurately complete all required documentation
Requirements:
• Trade certification required; red seal is an asset
• Minimum 3 years of mining equipment experience
• Skilled in reading schematics and diagnosing issues
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel
• Willingness to adapt to varied shifts and conditions
