Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting temporary opportunity for Maintenance Workers to work for an amazing First Nations organization in BC. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals who are looking to improve their skills and gain experience working in the building and facilities maintenance sectors. Work location include North Vancouver, and other areas in the greater Vancouver area.

• Operate light duty equipment in a safe and efficient way to complete duties such as road maintenance, snow removal, culvert cleaning, landscaping, vents cleaning, etc.
• Assist with event preparation and wrap-ups by setting up and/or tearing down equipment and furniture.
• Carry out upkeeping, simple maintenance and repair duties related to building, equipment, and facilities.
• Provide labor assistance to trade personnels when requested.
• Conduct minimal/basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Must have completed grade 12 education, post-secondary education is preferred.
• Must have valid BC Driver's license.
• Willing to work in outdoor environments.
• Able to do some heavy lifting.
• Available to work occasionally on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to listen and follow instructions accurately.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Minimal/basic plumbing, electrical or construction experience is an asset/preferred.
• Landscaping experience would be a great asset.
• Previous experience working in First Nations community is a great asset.
