The Facilities Manager is responsible for all facilities at Grouse Mountain. The Manager oversees a team of carpenters, plumbers, painters and other various maintenance staff.

• Responsible for the construction and renovation of structures from ground excavation to all finishing work.
• Maintains Fire systems in all buildings and portable equipment
• Works closely with project Managers to provide advice and guidance to construction or maintenance plan designs
• Develops project budgets in conjunction with project manager and maintains project targets
• Prepares and implements with the director of Maintenance and Facilities an annual financial plan
• Follows procedures in place to order parts, supplies and equipment for projects and normal operating expenses
• Provides input to the preventative maintenance system
• Ensures and enforces that all facilities staff follow safe work procedures and follow company policies and procedures
• Responsible for the scheduling of all facilities staff
• Maintains and upkeeps all kitchen equipment
• Maintains and meets all budget targets
• Responsible hiring, orientation, training, coaching, performance management, and administrative duties required for the Facilities department
• Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the water treatment plant
• Maintains records and provides reports when required
• Other duties as required.

Directly provides supervision to team of Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, Apprentices and Maintenance Helpers.

• Completion of a Journeyman certificate related to building trades
• Water Treatment Certification, Level 3 or higher
• Minimum of 5-10 years work experience in a related field
• Knowledge of the Canadian Building Code required
• Previous construction and project management an asset
• Microsoft Office skills required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications and technical information

This position is a full-time, year-round leadership role. On-site presence required; may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as resort operations demand. Indoor and outdoor work environments, including exposure to mountain weather conditions.

$90,000 to $110,000 annually
