Handyman - Service Technician

Mr. Handyman of Burnaby, New Westminster and N Vancouver is looking for Skilled Technicians to serve our residential and commercial customers. You can earn a comfortable living helping clients with small to medium repairs, remodeling and improvement projects. We are part of a national franchise but locally owned with a focus on "smaller" projects in the size range of a few hours to a few days.

We're looking for skilled tradesperson with 5-10 years of experience and skills across a broad spectrum of maintenance/repair and remodeling skill categories. We are looking for employees not subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a strong carpentry background and have a "can do" attitude.

Must have your own tools fit for many job types. Larger equipment provided and is shared among our team.

Excellent customer communication skills required as often you're the only one of our staff in the customers home or commercial location.

You must have a clean driving record (no DUI or suspended license) and pass a background check before being hired.

Must be Friendly with good, clean appearance.

Reasonably proficient with computers and tablet/smartphone apps Takes pride in work and delivers a great result each time.

Specific Responsibilities Complete small to medium repairs, remodeling, and improvement project slight demo workcarpentrydrywall repairs facilities maintenacepaintingcabinets and counters assembly and repair

Communicate with customers about scope of work and cost estimates

Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment

Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Extended health benefits are available after a probationary period.

As an employee you are paid for statutory holidays, vacation pay and sick days after the probationary period.
