** Corporate Accounting Manager
** to join our Retail Corporate Accounting team! This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting and is a
** hybrid role
** based in
** Vancouver, WA**.
* ** Manage full-cycle accounting
** for 3 assigned holding companies, including month-end close processes in One Stream across 110+ consolidated entities
* ** Prepare quarterly standalone consolidated financial statements
** for the Retail division with footnote disclosures in full compliance with US GAAP (private company - no SEC reporting)
* ** Oversee Retail Central Services accounting for 10+ departments**, partnering with department leaders on planning and budgeting (leveraging One Stream), and delivering actionable variance analysis that identifies cost optimization opportunities and risks
* ** Manage shared accounting processes
** including intercompany transactions and intangibles
* ** Oversee long-term debt accounting
** in collaboration with the Treasury team to ensure accurate financial statement presentation
* ** Deliver monthly parent company reporting packages
** with accuracy and timeliness
* ** Partner cross-functionally
** with Dealership Accounting, Centralized Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, and parent Corporate Accounting teams
* ** Lead and develop
** one direct report (Accounting Supervisor) who manages a team of staff and senior accountants
* ** Serve as a resource
** and mentor to other managers on the Retail Corporate Accounting team (dotted-line responsibility)
* ** Build team capabilities
** through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development
* ** Participate in leadership development programs
** including Holman Connect (our annual manager retreat)
* ** Foster a culture
** of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
* ** Serve as primary Corporate Accounting contact
** for the annual standalone audit with KPMG
* ** Manage preparation and delivery
** of all corporate-driven PBC (Prepared by Client) schedules and support requests
* ** CPA certification**
* ** 5+ years of progressive accounting experience**, including public accounting background
* ** Bachelor's degree in Accounting**
* ** Advanced Excel proficiency
** with strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities
* ** Proven people leadership experience
** with ability to develop and mentor accounting professionals
* ** Strong technical accounting knowledge
** including US GAAP, consolidations, and financial reporting
* ** Exceptional attention to detail
** with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* ** Excellent communication skills** - able to translate complex accounting concepts for non-finance stakeholders
* Experience with
** One Stream** (or similar consolidation/EPM platforms)
* Experience with
** CDK
* * or other automotive dealership management systems
* ** Automotive or retail industry experience**
* ** Big 4 public accounting background
*** Experience supporting external audits as client-side lead
* ** Drive process improvement** – You naturally identify inefficiencies and develop better methods, tools, and workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency
* ** Excel at managing people and projects** – You can simultaneously coach your team on day-to-day work while managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
* ** Work independently and collaboratively** – You take ownership of your portfolio but know when to leverage cross-functional partners and seek guidance
* ** Adapt quickly to change** – You adjust priorities and approach when the business environment shifts, staying focused on what matters most
