Job Title:

Project Accountant (Construction)

Location:

Vancouver, WA

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (3-6 months), Fully Onsite

Salary: $35-$43 an hour DOE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to support our client's team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a contract role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance

* Perform and review complex account reconciliations

* Lead month-end and year-end closing activities

* Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

* Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

* Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

* 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including some staff/senior-level responsibility in a construction environment (required)

* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)

* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and leadership abilities
