Sr. Accounting Consultant

BTA Inc. is a recruiting agency. We are launching a new offering to provide staff augmentation services to clients in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. We have come to find that identifying high quality professionals in this area is extremely tedious by traditional methods and have developed a system to automate this process, however, there is a key component that we are missing which is the skills testing portion of the process.

This is why we are seeking a consultant who has lead accounting teams to work with us to develop and deliver skills evaluation tests in the areas of excel skills, general accounting principles and knowledge, speed and accuracy of completing tasks, critical thinking, etc.

In this engagement you will work directly with BTA leadership to develop and deliver these tests.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• 4+ years of managerial experience including hiring and firing authority over accounting functions especially AR, AP & Payroll
• CPA highly preferred
• Advanced excel skills in an accounting context including advanced functions such as writing complex formulas, setting up pivot tables, creating macros
• Extensive expertise with financial softwares including ERPs, Quickbooks, Coupa, etc.
• Experience leading financial software rollouts and training staff to adopt said software
• Experience developing standardized accounting tools in excel for use by
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to see details that others miss
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining focus on the big picture

Compensation is on an hourly or project basis DOE. Negotiable. We are seeking to execute this project immediately.
