Job Title: Staff Accountant (Construction)
Location: Vancouver, WA
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (3-6 months), Fully Onsite
Salary: $32-$40 an hour DOE
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance
- Perform and review complex account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including staff/senior-level responsibility in a construction environment (required)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
