The AP/AR Specialist serves as a member of the CFTH Finance Team and is responsible for carrying out all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities in a timely and accurate manner using modern cloud‑based accounting and information systems. The role supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Accounting Manager to ensure grant expenditures are monitored and meet funders’ fiscal/billing guidelines and contractual requirements.
The position works within the agency’s commitment to advancing racial and gender equity and inclusion.
Part‑time position: 20 hours per week. Based in Vancouver, WA. Requires in‑person work during the first 60 days. Afterward, a hybrid schedule may be available based on business needs and manager approval.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Functions: process client assistance payment requests, credit card transactions, employee reimbursements, and invoices; complete weekly check runs; prepare positive pay reports; apply accurate coding; optimize AP processes using available tools; request necessary documentation and route invoices for approval.
- Accounts Receivable Functions: create and send invoices, track payments, reconcile accounts; collaborate with Development team to record donations and grant receivables; manage and record incoming payments; generate customer aging reports; prepare remote bank deposits.

Essential Functions:
maintain vendor lists, profiles, and W‑9s; distribute 1099s; advise staff and provide training on coding and processes; maintain accounting records; establish financial reports and schedules; assist CFO with month‑end closing; ensure adherence to internal controls. - Secondary Functions: perform related duties as required.
- At least one year of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable or equivalent.
- Preferred: two years of college coursework in accounting or related subject; experience with Sage Intacct; experience with project management and cross‑group collaboration.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills;

Compensation and BenefitsStarting salary: $31.47 per hour. Full salary range: $31.47 to $37.77 per hour.
