Executive House Manager & Personal Assistant

Location: Vancouver, WA 98685

Employment Type: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, flexible within the hours of 8am-4pm. High flexibility needed to accommodate travel schedule.

Compensation: $32-$38 per hour / based on experience

About Our Family

I lead a full and fast-moving lifestyle and am seeking a highly capable professional who finds fulfillment in creating calm, structure, and consistency within private home environment. I own and operate two companies and travel frequently—often up to 50% of the time—so having someone dependable who can thoughtfully manage the day-to-day details of my home is incredibly important. More than anything, I’m looking for someone who can help reduce the constant mental load that comes with balancing a demanding professional life while ensuring my home continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and with care behind the scenes.

I’m currently in an “empty nest” season of life, although two of my three adult children live nearby and remain a very important part of my day-to-day life. Family time is something I deeply value and often includes golf outings, farmers market trips, shopping, and relaxed time together whenever schedules allow. I also have a sweet cotton de tulear dog who can be a bit anxious at times, and while dedicated pet care is not a primary responsibility of the role, it’s important that the right person genuinely enjoys dogs and feels comfortable around pets.

Because my schedule can change quickly and no two weeks ever look exactly the same, I greatly value a home environment that feels organized, peaceful, and well-managed. Discretion, reliability, professionalism, and proactive support are qualities that matter deeply to me, along with someone who naturally anticipates needs and brings a calm, solutions-oriented presence during especially busy or travel-heavy periods.

You are highly capable, self-directed professional who thrives in an environment requiring discretion, initiative, and minimal supervision. You have the ability to be organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve independently, and create systems that keep the household operating seamlessly whether the employer is home or traveling.

A grounded presence is essential, along with strong communication skills and the emotional maturity to receive direct feedback professionally. The right candidate understands the importance of professional boundaries, demonstrates discretion, values privacy, and operates with efficiency and independence, requiring minimal oversight or routine check‑ins. You are also tech savvy with the ability to work efficiently in apps and systems, experience in Notion a plus

Because every household operates differently, you are adaptable and receptive to established routines, preferences, and standards while remaining flexible as needs evolve and can easily pivot. At the same time, being proactive and confident taking ownership and thinking several steps ahead to help minimize daily overwhelm while creating a sense of ease is essential..

Key Responsibilities Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Create and maintain home organization systems throughout the house
  • Daily resets including tidying counters, loading/unloading dishes, vacuuming high‑traffic areas, and ensuring dog water is full
  • Seasonal swaps for rugs, décor, and clothing
  • Coordinate and drop off donations
  • Assist with holiday décor organization
  • Unpacking coordination upon return from travel
