RPStaffing is conducting an immediate temp-to-hire search for a Government & Public Affairs Assistant with a major trade association based in Washington, D.C. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, potential for professional growth and development, excellent benefits, and a great work-life balance.

Position Details- Department:
Government & Public Affairs - Search Status:
Temp-to-Hire - Annual Base Salary: $48,000 – $55,000
- Hourly Compensation (Pre-conversion): $18.50 – $20.00
- Hours:
9:00 to 5:00 - Office
Location:
Washington, D.C.
- Provides executive administrative support to the Executive Vice President, Government & Public Affairs.
- Manages the Executive Vice President's schedule and coordinates with the CEO and other executives.
- Schedules travel, hotel accommodations, and prepares expense vouchers.
- Sets up in-house meetings, including materials, room reservations, and video/teleconferencing setup.
- Produces daily news clips and maintains industry-related media files.
- Triages media calls and maintains communications media lists.
- Assists with entry-level communications functions, including writing, website updates, and social media management.
- Serves as back-up to the Reception desk.
- Up to 10% travel required.
- Bonus:
Annual incentive bonus based on performance. - Retirement: 7% employer 401k contribution plus 50% match up to 6% of salary.
- Insurance: UHC 250 plan (Health/Dental/Vision) and Life Insurance (1.5x salary up to $200k).
- Leave: 10 vacation days, 12 sick days, 2 floating holidays, and 6 half-day summer Fridays.

Experience:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe. - Skills:
Strong organizational skills, professional communication, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
