Office Assistant Lead, Community Corrections Division
Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC)
Monthly Salary Range
: $4,036.00 to $5,379.00
Location:
Pierce County Gang Unit, 13021 Pacific Ave South, Parkland, WA 98444.
- Use specialized knowledge and technical skills to review court orders and enter and retrieve data from the Offender Management Network Information (OMNI) system.
- File management, including file setup, closing, and archiving.
- Serve as receptionist: greet and confer with supervised individuals (S/Is) and the public, answer questions, and direct them to the supervising CCO.
- Answer a multi‑line telephone system.
- Provide backup support duties for the AA3 and OA3s as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of clerical experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
- Navigate internal databases.
- Proofread written material; identify and correct errors in sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation.
- Communicate effectively and clearly with staff, supervise individuals, public, and stakeholders.
- Two years of clerical experience that includes directing the work of others (supervisory or lead experience).
- Paid vacation: 14–25 days per year (based on years of service and collective bargaining agreement).
- Paid sick leave: 8 hours per month.
- Paid holidays: 12 per year (including one personal holiday).
- Personal leave: 1 day per year (compliant with CBA).
