Lead MEP Quality Assurance Inspector

Peregrine Solutions is seeking a seasoned and detail-driven Lead MEP Inspector to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system installations ata nationally significant site with deep roots in American history and public service in Washington, DC. This high-profile federal site demands technical excellence, rigorous documentation, and a collaborative spirit. As a key member of our field operations team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, quality, and safety across this complex infrastructure project.

• Provide comprehensive oversight of installation processes.
• Conduct thorough design and specification reviews.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and test results to confirm installation requirements and performance standards are met.
• Ensure adherence to industry quality standards.
• Lead and manage teams of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing inspectors ensuring 3 phases of inspections are completed.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, deficiency notices, and progress documentation using Project Management Information Systems (PMIS: Kahua, eBuilder, Pro Core, etc).
• Coordinate inspections with construction schedules to minimize delays and maintain project timelines.
• Attend coordination meetings and collaborate with cross-disciplinary stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Develop and implement quality control plans.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance on complex high value ($150M) projects including New Federal (GSA, DoD) Construction Experience.
• Experience with MEP systems; oversight of installation, design/specification reviews.
• Strong understanding of quality standards.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams of inspectors across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Skilled in mentoring, scheduling, and ensuring consistent documentation and reporting.
• Construction Quality Control (CQM) Certification highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Project Management Information Systems such as Procore, eBuilder, Kahua, or similar platforms. Ability to navigate workflows, upload documentation, and track field progress digitally.
• Ability to obtain an HSPD-12 badge (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Washington D.C.
