Position Summary

The Parking Lead helps support the daily operation of parking areas by coordinating workflow, assisting with traffic management, and helping provide direction and support to parking staff throughout the shift. This position works alongside the team in active operational duties including vehicle and traffic flow management, guest assistance, lot setup, communication with other departments, and responding to changing operational and weather conditions in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Successful employees in this role are dependable, adaptable, and comfortable helping lead day-to-day operations while maintaining a positive and professional guest experience. This position helps support training, communication, safety practices, and team coordination while serving as a working leader who assists with keeping operations organized, efficient, and responsive throughout the day.
General ResponsibilitiesIn addition to all responsibilities listed in the Parking Lot Attendant Job Description, Leads must:
- Support daily staffing operations by monitoring workload, guest demand, and staffing levels, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing approved staffing adjustments.
- Help maintain an efficient operation by assigning work, ensuring employees remain productive, monitoring break and return times, and redirecting staff as operational priorities change.
- Encourage and maintain confidentiality and staff policies and procedures
- assist in conducting initial & ongoing staff training
- Monitor staff performance,, report information back to the department managers
- Follow department and company safety practices while promoting a positive safety culture. This includes but not limited to providing your own safety toed boots and headlamp in accordance to our Accident Prevention Plan
- Help create and maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Provide day-to-day guidance, communication, and support to team members
- Assist with training and supporting employees throughout the season
- Help communicate daily operational priorities, workflow needs, and shift transitions
- Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and work ethic
- Help maintain department cleanliness, organization, safety, and service standards
- Assist in identifying and resolving minor guest, employee, or operational concerns
- Support supervisors and managers with daily operational needs and changing business demands
- Step into different operational roles as needed to support the team and department
- Foster a positive team culture by promoting communication, collaboration, accountability, guest service, and safe work practices while reinforcing department and company expectations.
- Help identify areas where additional operational or employee support may be needed
- Work independently
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team
- Experience with ATV/UTV operation or similar equipment preferred

- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Ability to communicate tasks and system adjustments efficiently and positively to a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years or older
- Starting rate begins at $19.63/hour with increases for experience, merit, tenure and future WA State minimum wage adjustments possible.
- This is a seasonal, variable hour position. Hours per week may vary between 5-40+ hours/week. Expected end date for position is April 18, 2027, unless otherwise approved by management.
