We are seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the successful execution of EPC, construction management, and program management projects across multiple industries. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day management of safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and documentation
- Support EPC and construction management projects across industries including aviation, commercial, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, transportation, and water
- Collaborate with project teams to implement Safety & Health programs and ensure compliance
- Assist with project planning, execution plans, staffing plans, QA/QC plans, procurement plans, and risk reviews
- Support RFP development, bid evaluation, subcontractor pre-qualification, and contract execution
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change management, meeting minutes, and claims mitigation
- Track project costs, schedules, earned value, cash flow, and field progress
- Assist with site mobilization/demobilization, permitting, inspections, and audits
- Support invoicing processes for prime contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain project documentation systems and ensure compliance with insurance, licensing, and regulatory requirements
- Support labor planning, crew rate analysis, staffing coordination, and craft training
- Assist with project closeout, turnover documentation, warranties, and record retention
- Perform other duties as assigned while adhering to all company policies and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant construction experience, OR
- Equivalent applicable experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on construction project sites or program management efforts preferred
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Must be able to meet company driving requirements
