Clark College is currently accepting applications for a part-time, permanent hourly classified Fiscal Technician 1 position to work approximately 17 hours a week. This position supports the Cashier's Office and will assist staff with a wide variety of duties. The work schedule for this position is expected to be Monday through Thursday from 11am to 4pm each week. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Position ResponsibilitiesJob Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving cash, checks, credit cards in payment of registration, fees, repayment of financial aid debts, or other institutional receipts.
- Use computer to post these payments.
- Accurately collect and balance cash.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist students with payment options.
- Answer phones, take payments over the phone and respond to email inquiries.
- Balance cash drawer and card payments at the end of each day.
- Contact students regarding tuition/fee balances.
- Assist with billing of tuition and fees.
- Perform related duties as required.
Position Requirements and
Competencies:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience using a point-of-sale system and/or cash register.
- One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software.

- Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted which includes a sexual misconduct background check as required under RCW 28B.112.080. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.
Salary Range: $18.36-$24.14/hour | Step A-M (commensurate with qualifications and experience) | Range: 34 | Code: 148L
Successful candidates typically start at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
