Position

Travel Advisor – Vancouver, Washington. This position will service CI Azumano's vacation clients by planning, arranging, and securing vacation reservations with airlines, car rentals, hotels, preferred tours, and cruise lines.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of agency experience
  • Excellent sales skills
  • Experience with GDS, CRMs, and Microsoft applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strict adherence to the sales process by securing reservations with preferred air, tour, and cruise providers using the instructed preferred software, including GDS (Apollo), CRM (Client Base), and approved online booking engines. Meet or exceed sales productivity levels established by the branch manager.
  • Record and track all client data and travel purchases in Client Base. Invoice and record all client monies received in the CI Azumano accounting system (Trams) in a timely manner.
  • Act proactively on marketing new travel offers to existing clientele. Maintain up‑to‑date client profiles in Client Base.
  • Serve as a resource for travelers during the sales process, prior to travel, and post‑travel.
Required Competencies (Job Knowledge)
  • Technical competencies (post training):
    Intermediate to high level of understanding of Client Base CRM software, internet browser search engines, and internet provider booking engines;
    Intermediate to high level of understanding of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Sales skills – proactively offer travel options based on client requests; upsell when appropriate; sell additional products to enhance the vacation experience and maximize revenue.
  • Problem solving – identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information; develop alternative solutions.
  • Customer service – manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit feedback; meet commitments.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
