Part-Time, Permanent Hourly Classified Program Coordinator
Clark College is currently accepting applications for a part-time, permanent hourly Classified Program Coordinator position. This position provides front office support and leadership and supports financial aid outreach and communication efforts. This is a part-time permanent position and expected to work approximately 17 hours a week in the Financial Aid department:
Monday
- Friday, hours will vary depending on current needs of the department. This 100% in-person position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service across in-person, phone, email, and virtual platforms. This position is also responsible for assisting with FAFSA/WASFA lab coordination and outreach, office communications, and engagement efforts that help students navigate the financial aid process.

Position ResponsibilitiesJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide information and advice to students, staff, faculty, and the public regarding financial aid services, financial aid status, policies, and recommend courses of action.
- Assist in the upkeep and management of the Financial Aid student email communications, including auto-reply content.
- Act as support staff lead by assisting with questions that arise, auditing incoming forms and documents, ensuring staff and student communication is accurate and consistent.
- Assist in training front desk staff in effective ways to address student needs and concerns.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of front desk training and procedure materials.
- Coordinate, set up, tear down, and participate in financial aid workshops and labs.
- Advise students, parents, and community members on how to complete all required steps for the FAFSA/WASFA applications.
- Provide information to the public and participate in outreach activities that pertain to financial aid and student loan requirements. Present information to participants as needed.
- Create a safe, bias-free working environment, which engenders respect for differences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in a clerical, administrative, or higher education work setting.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience in presenting information in small and large group settings.
- Proficient with Teams, Microsoft Suite, and Zoom.

- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, accountability, and consistent attendance required due to the essential, front-facing nature of this position.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time and lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to manage front desk responsibilities while completing administrative tasks.

- Friday, 8 am-5 pm, approximately 17 hours a week. Additional hours might be needed during peak service times. - Ability to demonstrate professional communication and conduct, collaborative decision making, and team building.
- The initial appointment will include a 6-month probationary period, and the employee will earn permanent status after successfully completing probation.
