Montessori Preschool Assistant Teacher & After School Program Leader

Wave of the Future Preschool is seeking a candidate for our preschool program in Seaview, WA
.

We seeking a teacher for 30.5 hours a week. The schedule is 11-5:30 Monday-Thursday and 11-3:30 Fridays.

Must be reliable, trustworthy, and experienced with children. Experience working with children required. Experience with Montessori, outdoor and arts education preferred.

• Lead our after school program (3-5 pm)
• Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn and explore
• Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued
• Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness
• Communicate with parents and caregivers

• Experience with working with children
• Problem solver & community builder

• Early childhood education (ECE)
• Youth outdoor education
• Youth arts education
• Montessori certification

• Experience working with children
• Ability to pass background check

• First Aid certification
• Able to meet DCYF requirements for child care workers

• 1 hour PTO for every 40 hours worked

$20-22 DOE with room to grow.
