This is a Continuing Position.

EssentialFunctions
- Work effectively and cooperatively with community, parents, teachers, administrators and support staff.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive and safe environment for learning.
- Maintain a positive relationship with students, staff, parents, and community by modeling respect, cooperation, and professionalism with others, recognizing the personal achievements and professional contributions of others and demonstrating knowledge of a sensitivity toward individuals and groups from all racial, ethnic/cultural, national socio‑economic backgrounds.
- Work collaboratively and collegially with a team managing student behavior.
- Use technology to keep records.
- Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring procedures and practices which promote a safe and orderly environment.
- Communicate and partner with school community members to promote student learning.
- Establish a set of culturally responsive standard operating procedures, practices and routines.
- Provide and/or facilitate training of staff with regard to the most effective practices which lead to higher student achievement regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status or prior academic achievement.
- Assist with building management in the areas of discipline and general building supervision.
- Coordinate student support/intervention programs.
- Supervise Campus Security Staff.
- Serve as Building Liaison to District Director of School Services, Manager of Risk Management and Safety and Manager of School Safety and Security.
- Lead inclusive programming for students qualified for special education services and those learning English as a second language.
- Team with Associate Principal(s) on student discipline beyond short‑term supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Develop cultural competence and a commitment to equity in outcomes and opportunities for adults and students.
- Lead for equity toward college and career readiness.
- Nurture a school environment that celebrates, respects, and values diversity where teaching and learning are made relevant and meaningful to students of various cultures.
- Publicly draw attention to all equity gaps that exist for various groups of students with plans to address their elimination.
- Initiate activities and discussions that lead to increased cultural competence of staff, informing and expanding teaching practices within classrooms.
- Valid Washington Teaching Certificate.
- Valid Washington Administrative Certification and experience preferred.
- Three years of experience at secondary level preferred.
